There is no single language service provider (“LSP”) today capable of supporting customer demands across the broader spectrum of language services offerings, i.e., interpreting, translation, localization, captioning, and other services, most often requiring buyers of language services to contract with many LSPs in an effort to meet their needs. Customers tell us constantly that they find this situation suboptimal, inefficient, and difficult to manage. They are demanding change, as such full-service solution offers them a low-risk, high return path to transforming customer care and differentiating their brands.

The LSP market is made up of a small number of very large firms representing less than 20% of the global market, with the balance of the market represented by tens of thousands of small “mom and pop” firms and 25-30 mid-sized firms. The market is ripe for consolidation. This size distribution creates an opportunity to merge several differing subject-matter-expert LSPs to create a valuable multi-expertise, geographically diverse LSP while leveraging technology and foundation customers to further lift group revenue and earnings growth.

In response, our goal is to create a distinctive upper middle market, full service “one-stop-shop” LSP, i.e., a single-source solution for all language service’s needs, by exploiting the power of technology and the promise of AI, and the highly fragmented LSP industry. Upon reaching critical mass, this new firm will present an attractive buyout opportunity for several strategic and financial acquirers providing an attractive liquidity event for our investors and stakeholders. This new LSP, established in May of 2022, is NU Language Group (“NLG”), whose aim is to innovate the way language services are delivered and enable a world through process and technology, including AI, where language no longer divides us but unites us, fostering understanding and collaboration across cultures and communities.
